Batam – The Masters and Doctoral Study Program in Public Administration, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held a socialization of the study program with the Batam city government. This activity was held at the Batam Mayor’s Office (10/2/2023).

Akmal Ibrahim, M.Si as the head of the Doctoral Study Program and Dr. Suryadi Lambali as the head of the Public Administration Masters study program, received by the Mayor of Batam, H. Muhammad Rudi and Regional Secretary H. Jefridin and
The Head of the Unhas Public Administration Doctoral Study Program, Prof. Dr. Muh. Akmal Ibrahim, M.Si in his speech and introduction of the study program appreciated the development in Batam.
“When entering the city of Batam, we are not like in Indonesia. the city is orderly, the roads are wide and free from traffic jams,” he explained.
Prof. Akmal added, if you want to learn about city planning, you need to go to Batam.
“But it’s even more interesting, if it is combined with our scientific concentration, namely public policy and public service management. Hopefully we are destined, the Mayor will continue the doctoral program at Unhas,” explained the head of the Public Administration Doctoral study program.
Sementara itu Walikota Batam, H. Muhammad Rudi memulai sambutannya menyampaikan bahwa kami sangat senang atas kedatangan rombongan Prodi Administrasi Publik FISIP UNHAS. Sebagai salah satu kampus terbaik di Indonesia tentunya kita bersyukur jika ingin hadir di kota Batam ini untuk berkolaborasi. Karena dengan begitu, akan menunjang kemajuan kota Batam sebagai kota Internasional. “istimewanya di Batam, semua tanah adalah tanah negara. Sehinga untuk membangun jauh lebih muda. kita sementara siapkan bandara baru yang lebih canggih, jalan dengan 5 jalur yang merupakan satu – satunya kabupaten/kota yang demikian. kita juga mendorong pembangunan yang merata melalui program Percepatan infrastruktur kelurahan” jelasnya.
Selanjutnya kegiatan ini dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan profil prodi oleh Dr. Suryadi Lambali. dalam pemaparannya menjelaskan keunggulan administrasi publik yang telah terakreditasi internasional FIBAA. Sehingga kurikulum maupun sarananya sudah sesuai standar.
